IKEA Hack

Before: IKEA Lampan table lamp and Dollar Store tray.

After: spray painted orange, with removable scrap paper on top = Cake Stand.

Lampshade also received a coat of paint and holds some Halloween decor.

Recyled Socks

Repurpose little girl tights into socks! (from the blog Ruffles and Stuff.) My little big girl outgrows tights as soon as I buy them. She also insists on pushing knee socks down to her ankles, going for the leg warmer look, so I didn't bother making these too tall. Now I'm wondering if I have any adult tights worth cutting into knee-highs....

Pumpkin Cans

This year I decided to upcycle some cans from the garage to make a pumpkin family for Halloween. We each decorated a size-appropriate coffee can, and in K's case a vegetable can. Her face is so tiny you barely see it. :-)

Tools:

* Coffee or other cans
* Orange spray paint
* Sharpie markers
* Tea lights for the inside (optional)
* Drill for holes (optional)
